The Shopper's Food Warehouse in the DC metro area are doubling coupons up to $1.00. There is a coupon for a free box of cereal in the Sunday paper. The cereal can cost up to $4.00.
We went today around 11. The store was crowded but most people weren't couponing at all. The paper said that the sale had been on since Thursday. There was nothing in the circular at all advertising it.
Our total came up to $91.19. We paid $ 27.73. There is a glitch in their system so you have to watch the register.
Our total would have been less but they are not accepting computer generated coupons.
I can understand why they didn't advertise the double up to a $1 sale. When there was a triple coupon sale. Every couponer in the area was in the store.
Great deals. Johnson's Band aid.
There is a glitch in their system that stops some coupons from completely doubling. The first dollar will post but the portion will ring up as .99 cents. I guess this is to correct for overages.
