Maryland Public Television's Green Home Raffle

Bumping around on the internet Sunday, when I was supposed to be completing work for school. (I really need to work on focusing and time management.) I found this on the Maryland Public Television website. They are raffling off a home.

The Grand Prize $1.88 million Solar/Green Home to be awarded is located at 12309 Daniel Circle Lane; Clarksville, MD 21029 (Howard County - click for a map) , integrating the most substantive aspects of "green" construction balanced by a massive reduction in energy costs - a home that looks and costs about the same as similar custom luxury homes and yet is designed to have 70%+ lower energy bills for the life of the home! - Over four times the savings of an Energy Star home!

The Selfridge "Near Zero Energy" custom home includes 4 bedrooms upstairs, plus a den with its own full bath, which can also be used as a 5th bedroom, on the main level. There is 1 full and 1 half bath on the main level and 3 full baths upstairs, for a total of 4.5 baths. Also included is a 3 car attached garage.

The grand prize solar/green raffle home is ideally situated in the prestigious Walnut Grove community in Clarksville, MD about 40 minutes from Annapolis and 50 minutes from the heart of Washington DC. This green dream home backs to agricultural preservation, designated open space and wooded areas. Currently the schools for residents of the Walnut Grove community are Triadelphia Ridge Elementary, Folly Quarter Middle, and River Hill High. Schools are subject to redistricting.

All Proceeds from the MPT Green Home Raffle benefit Maryland Public Television’s outreach initiatives, local programming and education efforts in our community.
